Delete your Groovv account

You can delete your Groovv account and all associated data at any time. We believe your collection is yours — including the right to take it with you, or remove it entirely.

Delete from within the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in Groovv:

  1. Open Groovv on iOS or Android
  2. Tap your profile icon to open Settings
  3. Go to Account → Delete account
  4. Confirm deletion

Your account and data will be removed immediately. This action cannot be undone.

Don't have access to the app?

Email support@groovv.app from the email address registered to your Groovv account, with the subject line "Delete my account."

We'll process your request within 7 days and email you to confirm when it's complete.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your account and login credentials
  • Your entire collection — records, conditions, pressing details, photos, notes, and tags
  • Your wantlist
  • Your Crate DNA and collection analytics
  • Your shareable public profile (if you set one up at share.groovv.app)
  • Your Discogs sync connection (your Discogs account itself remains untouched)
  • Any custom data you've added

What is retained

A small amount of data is kept for legal and operational reasons:

  • Transaction records required by Australian tax law — purchase receipts and subscription history are retained for 7 years per ATO requirements, then permanently deleted
  • Anonymised analytics — usage data that has been stripped of any link to your identity may be retained for product improvement

Nothing retained can be linked back to you personally.

A note on subscriptions

If you have an active Groovv Pro subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it. Cancel your subscription before deleting your account to avoid being charged for a service you can no longer access.

iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Groovv Pro

Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → Groovv Pro

Lifetime purchases are non-refundable but will no longer be associated with any account once deletion is complete.
